Abdali Hospital has a fully equipped radiology and imaging department with state-of-the-art imaging modalities, including:
- X-ray and Fluoroscopy (general x-rays, all contrast studies, all joint arthrograms, Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) in addition to others
- Computed Tomography (General CT, Cardiac CT, Virtual Colonography, Peripheral Angiograms)
- Ultrasound (General Ultrasound, Musculoskeletal, Color Doppler, 3D scans, Fetal Anatomy, Biopsies)
- MRI (General MRI, Breast, Cardiac, Pelvic, Abdomen and Hepatobiliary)
- Mammography (Fully digital mammography with stereotactic biopsy)
- PET/CT Scan
- Nuclear Medicine: A branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose and determine the severity of or treat a variety of diseases, including many types of cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurological disorders and other abnormalities within the body. Specialists at Abdali Hospital use safe, painless, and cost-effective techniques to scan the body and treat oncologic diseases
- Bone Densitometry: is a test like an X-ray that quickly and accurately measures the density of bone. It is used primarily to detect osteopenia or osteoporosis, diseases in which the bone's mineral and density are low and the risk of fractures is increased
RIS/PACS
This is a paperless/filmless service with the use of the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Interpretational reports and images are available digitally, eliminating possible errors or losing/mixing-up films, studies or reports.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
The advanced Siemens MAGNETON Vida 3T MRI scanner with BioMatrix Technology will provide accurate investigation of Musculoskeletal (MSK), Hepatic (Liver), Biliary Tree, non-invasive visuals of the Biliary and Pancreatic Ducts using Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP), Pelvic, Breast and Cardiac MRI imaging.
CT SCAN
The Siemens SOMATOM Force Dual Source CT Scanner provides the latest in CT imaging including multi-formatted and 3D images. It has capability of evaluating the coronary arteries with high accuracy and results. CT-guided biopsies, drainage, angiogram and virtual colonoscopy procedures can also be performed routinely.
Interventional
The Philips Azurion is the next generation image guided therapy platform. This sophisticated machine allows procedures to be performed confidently and easily, for superior patient care.
PET/CT scan
The Siemens PET/CT scanner offers the latest imaging technology in the field. It combines the power of hybrid imaging in one exam to enable physicians to detect and follow-up on diseases more accurately.
