Rheumatology
Our rheumatology department specializes in diagnosing and treating arthritis and “rheumatism,” inflammatory muscle diseases, vasculitis, systemic autoimmune diseases, and metabolic bone diseases. Such diseases are chronic and can vary from simple to complex, and appropriate treatment depends on proper diagnosis.
Our rheumatologists work closely with patients, their families, their primary-care physicians, and other specialists to ensure that patients receive high-quality care, remain as functional as possible and maintain their quality of life.
Quality Measures
The members of the Center for Orthopedics and Rheumatology hold weekly meetings to audit the outcomes and improve the quality of all our services. Case discussions and exchange of opinions are held on difficult cases, including other departments, as appropriate.
Our services adhere to the principles of clinical standards set by the Joint Commission International and Health Care Accreditation Council.
