Job Summary
A Food and Beverage Waiter/ Waitress is our ambassador to our guests and Patients he/she affects every Guest experience with our food delivery and room service, we are committed always to deliver a memorable experience that will exceed our Guests' food, beverage, and culinary expectations. For this Job you are responsible for Preparing and the delivery of meal trays to patients’ room, in a friendly and passionate way following standards and meal trays guideline as per patient dietary requirement.
Key Responsibilities
Creating Guest Experience, the delivery of food to rooms in a friendly and professional way that represent and demonstrate AH Hospitality, dealing with patients from different back grounds and Ethnics in respectful way following AH standards and policies.
- Distribution of food, this to be achieved within set time established by the Hospital, also as per Patients Dietary & dietitian instructions, in the event of late or updated request this need to be given the priority for delivery in timely manner.
- Verify Patient/ Guest Name against meal order, to make sure meal is delivered to the right Patient.
- Fill food distribution/ delivery form, cross check with Nursing staff, record the delivery time with signature, once meals are delivered (Burlodges) need to be plugged in power for any meals were not delivered or requested by patient to remain in the (Burlodges), record and inform nondelivered meals to Nursing In charge and department supervisor
- Fill Crockery, cutlery and trays clearance form and verify it against distribution form, for the purpose of maintain stock level and reporting any damage or missing items, such as plates, cups, glass, spoons….etc.
- Clear all trays and equipment from each level including Pantry rooms after each service as per internal standards and as instructed by supervisor any time during the day
- Mis En place, the preparation of the all equipment used for each service, China ware, cutlery and glass ware need to be polished, preparation of trolleys, making sure Boxes (Burludges) used for food transfer are clean and in a good condition
- Ensure the hand over shifts reports. Communicate with team members for all required information for a smooth operation.
- Assist Commissary kitchen in reparation of Bread, fruits, cutlery sets, disposable items.
- Food safety. Make sure that all products are labeled with production date, Obey internal health and policies of local Health & food safety laws. Return non used stock to stores, record wastage forms to QAQC daily.
- Sustain Hazzard free work environment, report any issues to supervisor or QAQC personnel.
- Cleanliness and tidiness of work areas before and after each service, make sure that fridges, benches, and related equipment are clean and sanitized after each use Organize with respective persons for the cleanliness of floors. Clean as you go.
- Highest standard of Personal Hygiene and clean uniform, as each employee should be an ambassador of the department and Abdali Hospital.
- Work in the Cafeteria and on the point of sale.
- Daily inventory upon receiving goods/items.
Qualifications:
Minimum School degree, or diploma in hospitality or related studies
- Hospital Experience is advantage
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in same position
- Intermediate English language is preferred
- Personal qualities are Friendly, ability to work with difficult Patients and Customers,
- Evaluate team and Team work, good communicator, good listener, Can do and Positive Attitude, work well under pressure.
- Computer skills is an advantage
