Our Infectious Diseases Department identifies and treats medical conditions and Diseases arising from exposure to infectious agents and microbes (bacteria, fungi, Viruses or Parasites, as well infections that follow medical, surgical, or dental procedures.

Abdali Hospital’s Infectious Diseases team offers expertise in a wide range of areas including viral diseases, rare fungal as well as local and systemic bacterial infections. Our team has expertise in the care of Prosthetic Joint Replacement Infections, Solid Organ Transplant related infections, and Stem Cell Transplants. Others include complex cardiac infections, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, and C, and Immune deficiency states, Infections in Cancer patients, long term non-healing infected wounds, Diabetic Leg Ulcer and bone infections, necrotizing deep infections, Brain Abscesses and Infections of the Central Nervous System, Recurrent Urinary infections, Intra-abdominal infections, Skin and soft tissue infections, Infections in Rheumatologic conditions (e.g. Rheumatoid arthritis and SLE), Lung and Respiratory infections. Also Endemic infections such as Leishmaniasis as well as International travel related infections such as Dengue, Lyme’s and Malaria.

The Infectious Diseases Department works in concert with other departments at Abdali Hospital to prevent and treat infections during admissions, surgeries, ICU and CCU stays.
