We welcome family and friends to visit our patients and put together some information to help plan their visits.
Contacting a patient
Telephone and other enquiries
The telephone numbers of the hospital are listed in the contacts list secion. When you call, please ask for the Inpatient Room Number. If you don’t know where the patient is admitted, ask for the Admissions Desk.
We cannot give medical information over the telephone.
Medical information
If you require information on a patient, the doctors and nurses will wish to know what your
relationship with the patient is, and seek his or her permission before speaking to you on any details about the condition and treatment.
Visiting hours
To ensure patient well being, we recommend not having more than three visitors at any given point in time. We recommend:
- Children below the age of 4 do not visit the hospital. All Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- To avoid using patient washrooms
- Do not sit on patient beds
- Avoid using patient’s phone
- Do not share the patient’s food, etc.
- Do not feed the patients food from outside the hospital without the guidance of your nurse or doctor
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) visiting hours are only on permission of the nurse in charge. Only family members are permitted to visit patients in the ICU.
Cell phone policy
Abdali Hospital is mobile phone friendly. You may use personal mobile phones in the hospital and Outpatient Care areas, except in the Intensive Care unit, Neonatal Care Unit and Outpatient MRI Suite.
Prayer room
- The prayer room in the basement 3 is available for patients and visitors who need to pray
- It is open and lit day and night
- There is a mosque and a church within walking distance, opposite to the hospital. Our Main Reception services can direct you
Pharmacy
The Pharmacy is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers a range of services, including:
- Accurate and timely medication delivery
- Support for safe and proper medication management
- Post-surgical supplies
- Homecare testing devices (blood sugar, blood pressure)
Coffee shop
At the ground floor Del Monte Café offers you a variety of healthy, wholesome and nutritious products essential to a healthy lifestyle. Whether you are looking for a healthy lunch time snack, coffee or fresh juices, Del Monte has the right meal and drink for you.
WI-FI access
Abdali Hospital understands that patients and visitors need to stay connected. The hospital is fully equipped with WiFi, and courier services are also available to help patients and visitors keep in touch.
Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hospital for patient and visitor use. Login information is provided at the Hospital’s enquiry desks, or by calling +96265109999. WIFI is also available in the patient rooms and some designated areas. Request the password from the Admission Desk.
Valet parking
Abdali Hospital provides Valet Parking service for Out Patients and In Patients. Valet Parking is available for visitors only during visiting hours.
Shopping and dining
You will find a wide selection of restaurants coffee shops and lounges located at the Abdali Boulevard and Abdali Mall just across the street from the hospital. Our concierge services can provide further advice.

Activities outside the hospital
- Abdali Boulevard and the Abdali Mall have a wide range of fashion and accessory shops, gift shops and supermarkets as well as delis, cafes, and restaurants
- The Abdali Mall also hosts a cinema and spa.

Art collection
The mission of the Abdali Hospital Art Program is to enrich, inspire and enliven our patients, visitors, employees and community and to embody the core values of the institution: collaboration, quality, integrity, compassion, and commitment. The collection evidences a commitment to supporting the national and local arts communities. An emphasis on contemporary art fosters an environment of creative excellence, encourages dialogue and challenges viewers to experience diverse points of view. The art reflects an interest in underlying concepts such as innovation, teamwork and service which are fundamental cornerstones of Abdali Hospital.
The Art Program is responsible for selecting new art acquisitions, acting in an advisory capacity to the Aesthetics Committee and the Philanthropy Institute to assist with donations of artworks, and provide services ranging from installation to inventory and upkeep of the collection. In addition, the Art Program curates and organizes exhibitions and related educational programming.
The Art collection is displayed throughout the hospital’s public areas for the enjoyment of patients and visitors.
