Job Summary
The role of the Business Development Executive is to generate measurable growth by attracting patients from Yemen to Abdali Hospital and generating opportunities for AH Holding international expansion. The ultimate responsibility is growing the hospitals’ revenue. Location in Sanaa, with travel in Yemen.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and execute business development opportunities and strategies:
- Assess potential opportunities in Yemen and develop and execute the right channels: network of referring agents, relationship with NGOs, insurance, embassies, hospitals and doctors, medical assistance and evacuation companies, setting clinics/commercial offices etc.
- Understand and report on competitive landscape, physician movement, payers’ strategies; and provide real-time intelligence to adjust our strategy and resource allocation.
- Develop and manage to process to continuously build AH brand awareness and generate demand:
- Conduct leads visits and develop relationships to originate new opportunities
- Organize events
- Develop a network of referring agents
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing collateral and campaigns to support business development.
- Develop proposal templates, framework contracts and tailored offers for specific targets:
- Prepare offers to potential clients, partners and referrers, collaborating with te pricing, finance, legal and other teams as needed
- Manage end to end patient handling process from Yemen to the hospital in Amman:
- Support all aspects of the patient journey from gathering medical reports, getting quotations for the hospital, getting visa arrangements, supporting any other travel arrangements needed, in coordination with the hospitals’ international patient's office.
- Manage current accounts and increase share of wallet:
- Manage a system to manage accounts to increase share of wallet and contractual matters.
- Monitor and manage performance and sales results and adjust activities and plans accordingly. Prepare monthly reports for management.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to specific improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to generating opportunities for Abdali Holding International expansion including service agreements with other hospitals (e.g. consulting, training, quality accreditation, management, etc.)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or any related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated commercial ability and track record
- Relationships with Yemeni companies
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
- Availability to travel
- Previous exposure to healthcare sector is a plus
