Jordan Authorities require citizens from some countries to obtain medical visas. Jordan’s Ministry of Health has a very effective “one stop shop service” to obtain visas and the process is very smooth. In addition to this, our concierge services at Abdali Hospital can support you throughout this process.

You may require certain preoperative exams before your surgery. Please check with your doctor for specific advice.

That is the ideal situation, to ensure that both doctors have your full information, and so you can receive the appropriate support when get back home. If this is not possible, please make sure you bring along all your medical history information and tests when visiting your doctor in Jordan and take your results back home if you need to follow up there. Our doctors and the rest of our team at Abdali Hospital will do their best to support you before and after your visit, to ensure you have a safe and easy experience.

We recommend that you bring a companion. They can help you make decisions, recover and support you physically and emotionally during your consultations or treatments. A companion is particularly advisable for invasive procedures such as heart surgery, hip and knee replacements.

We welcome children visits and believe that seeing your beloved ones is very important to boost morale and recovery. Please note that children under 14 shall always be accompanied. We do not recommend visits from children below 4 and kindly remind that children should avoid any disturbance to other patients during recovery. 

You will be at the hospital for as long as you need. Following this, the type of accommodation required depends on your condition. It could include needs for special diets, a wheelchair, accessibility to showers, a raised toilet seat, horizontal and vertical bars, and large spaces to move around easily with a wheelchair. Our nursing and rehabilitation teams will provide you with all the help and advice you need for your discharge plan, as well as help in offering you any devices that may be of extra help. Our neighbor hotels have accessible rooms and our concierge services can help arrange for any special needs.

We recommend you bring:

• Your medical history including any radiology and lab test results
• Any referral notes from your doctor
• Passport
• Medical visa if you need one
• Credit cards, debit cards; Bring some local currency
• Insurance or embassy coverage if you’re insured or covered by a third party that is approved by Abdali Hospital, along with insurance card and/or the embassy coverage letter
• Eye Glasses/Contact lens, dentures, hearing aids you use regularly 
• Contact Information for friends, family

Please bring as much of a comprehensive medical history as you can. This will help your doctors at Abdali Hospital during their assessment. If you cannot get these, your doctors at Abdali Hospital will conduct the necessary tests and examinations to make sure they get an accurate diagnosis.

Unfortunately, we do not have pet services and pets are not allowed at the hospital. If you need to bring your pet with you, our concierge service can help you arrange for their care during your stay at Abdali Hospital.
