Job Summary

Repairs and preventive maintenance of medical equipment will be the primary task of the
engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive maintenance checks and inspections by observations and application of test
• instruments.
• Analyses equipment for failure, faults or malfunctions based on experience and skill, application of test instruments and reference to technical literature and schematics.
• Performs inspection and commissioning of new medical equipment.
• Prepares and enters data in logs, reports, forms and equipment records.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in biomedical/electronics engineering.
• 0 - 3 years post qualification experience in biomedical engineering / healthcare IT sector preferable.
• Hospital experience/strong orientation
• Soled Knowledge in the field of Healthcare IT such as PACS, RIS, LIS, Healthcare Network terminology, etc.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of electronic / medical equipment and its operation, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment specially Radiology, Dialysis, Lithotripsy, and Patient Monitoring Systems.

Trainings Courses

Any training courses in the field of biomedical engineering such as Basic Radiology, Dialysis, Patient monitoring Systems, Healthcare IT.… will be a plus.

Working conditions

Generality good working conditions. Possible hazards include exposure to electrical shock, ionizing radiation, chemicals and chemical fumes, high-pressure air, infectious disease, and other curious hazards associated with biomedical engineering work. Protective clothing and safe work practices are required.
Able to participate in after-hours On-Call Roster as a must

Physical requirements

Physically demanding, high-stress environment, full range of body motion including handling and lifting parts or equipment ≤ 50 kg.
